§130.5(H) Arc Flash Labels
Format and content per NFPA 70E-2024. The 2024 edition added an explicit durability requirement — the label shall be of sufficient durability to withstand the environment involved. Engraved two-ply phenolic is one durable substrate choice, matched to the installation environment at the quote stage.

Two-Ply Engravable Phenolic
We stock every ANSI safety color — Signal Red, Signal Orange, Signal Yellow — with contrasting cores. Non-conductive, flame-rated, chemical- and UV-resistant. The material behind our PG&E compliance work.
Brass
Naval brass or C260 cartridge brass, fiber laser marked in-house. Traditional for valve tags and equipment identification within LOTO programs. Suitable alloy performs well in most indoor and general atmospheric applications; alloy selection matches your installation environment.
Aluminum
Anodized aluminum in a range of colors including standard hazard categories, plus unfinished stock — fiber laser marked in-house. Lightweight and cost-effective for large-scale facility programs, equipment tags, and asset ID.
Stainless Steel
304 or 316 stainless with laser-bonded marking. Fiber laser processed in-house. Well suited for chloride exposure, sanitation processes, and high-temperature applications where a suitable brass alloy is not preferred.

How fast can you ship?

Are your compliance labels built to code?
Yes. Every engraved compliance tag is built to the format and content specifications of the governing standard — NFPA 70E for arc flash, NEC for electrical panel labels, ASME A13.1 for valve tags, OSHA 1910.147 for lockout/tagout, and NEC 690 for solar. Compliance responsibility for the finished installation belongs to the equipment owner. Our job is to produce labels that meet the standard when built to your specification.
What materials do you engrave?
Two-ply engravable phenolic in all ANSI safety colors (in stock for your orders), plus brass, aluminum, and stainless steel. Metal marking is done in-house on our fiber laser platform, with a dedicated CO2 laser for phenolic. Custom color combinations available.
Do you have a minimum order size?
Our minimum is one. We produce single-unit orders regularly — replacement tags, spec checks, one-off compliance work. Quantity discounts are available for larger orders, and multi-location programs are a specialty.
Do you provide material samples or spec sheets?
Yes. We can provide physical samples of two-ply engravable phenolic in your specified color combinations. On new orders, our standard workflow is proof or mockup approval before production — you approve the exact layout before we engrave a single piece. Reorders match the approved layout already on file.
Do you work with electrical contractors and integrators?
Extensively. Contractor and integrator work is a core part of our business. We're a referral partner for CED (Consolidated Electrical Distributors) and support the compliance and installation work of regional electrical contractors, panel builders, and general contractors — including Swinerton, Northstate Electric, Agri Electric, United Building Contractors, and Hankins Group.
